Interval workout on the road.  Workout was 2x12:00 with 5:00 recovery in between.  I usually avoid the super long workouts especially when doing tempo style stuff on the weekend and Thursdays.

Splits (paces)- 5:40/mile, 5:40/mile

The workout felt pretty easy.  Longer intervals are definitely the way to go when getting the endurance back up.  In any event, I much enjoy this pace as it's so easy to relax and enjoy being able to go out there and do it and just kind of float along.

Man, that's awesome! Glad you are back!

At some point Do you cross a line from "Longer Intervals" to "Multiple Tempos"? Because 12 minutes is a loooong interval.

Yes, it is all relative, I guess.

Yeah, I usually describe this one as a tempo workout. Anything over a mile is pretty much always tempo work (unless it's a race!)

So I agree, definitely relaxed and treated it like a tempo and not as intervals. I have done it as a workout a couple of times (95-98% effort) and it makes for a pretty blown up week following the workout, so I don't recommend that haha.
