AM: Leftover BDR Safety Harbor 5k Race Report

Nothing really to say about this one.  Wire-to-wire lead, had a good gap by mile 1 and just held onto it and enjoyed the lead.  At about the 15 minute mark I realized I noticed I had a shot to dip under 16 minutes, but I didn't want to put in the effort.  Similarly, I did gradually lose more than the normal amount of focus as the race went on, but fortunately still finished 30 seconds ahead of second- I'm not sure if my drive is waning or if it's just because it's Florida in the summer...  They had a giant inflatable water slide at the end of the race, so instead of running some more I decided I'd rather go down the waterslide a bunch of times.  Being an adult is fun!

Either way, can't complain about first overall.  Anthony was second in 16:39, Sydney was third in a ridiculous  time of 16:49- she is plain on fire.  Then again, she did run for UF, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised by times like those coming from a runner that far along.

Splits- 5:05, 5:15, 5:15, Finish- 0:39 (did zero sprinting at the end)
